After we read the book, you can talk to your family about what to do when you are mad.  The dinosaurs in the book have a special way to calm down.  Can you find it?

Miss Carrie Reads The Little Red Fort

This book is called The Little Red Fort by Brenda Maier with pictures by Sonia Sanchez.  Scholastic Books has given permission to read the book to you.

I built my fort out of pillows.  I decided to have Snack Time in my fort.  I had fruit snacks and water.

DO THIS AT HOME:  Build a fort!  What are you going to use?  Where are you going to build it?  Who is going to help you?  Talk about over/under, inside/outside, big/little, inside/outside, and hard/soft. Ask questions with Who, What, Where. Who is helping to build the fort?  What shall we use to build the fort? Where is this part going to go?  What shall we do inside the fort?  Do we want to use soft pillows or hard chairs?
