Remember when Miss Carrie dressed up like Pete The Cat for Halloween?

Do you remember what color were her shoes?  Red! Miss Carrie wore Red shoes!  Miss Carrie decided it would be fun to do an activity with Pete the Cat.  So she read Pete The Cat : I Love My White Shoes. Everyone shook their head while saying "Goodness, no!" Everyone sang the "I Love My White Shoes" song.  Some of us tried to snap our fingers like Miss Carrie.

Then Miss Carrie brought out shoes.  She brought her red shoes to school!  She also had a lot of other shoes.  Big shoes. Little shoes.  Shiny or sparkly shoes.  Sandals. Some shoes had buckles, some had laces, and some had velcro.  Everyone measured the shoes to their own shoes to see if they were big or little. Could we find shoes that are the same or are they different?

DO THIS AT HOME:You can find the Pete The Cat book series at your local library if you'd like to read it at home.  Try this with your shoes at home.  Or , this works great with socks as you're doing laundry.  Match the pairs, talk about color and size. Who wears these shoes or socks? If you chose to do this at home, send us a picture and we will talk about it at school.
